Society, You're a Crazy Breed...

I've been sort of preoccupied lately. For some reason I keep finding myself lost in apprehension concerning my future. If you don't know me, then you also don't know that I plan on saving the world. I'm just kidding, but my ambitions are almost that pretentious. I've always had a super-hero complex, and I guess it hasn't been squandered or dissipated, because it's still very prevalent as a part of my identity. Anyway, since I wasn't born a genius or endowed with innate butt-kicking skills, I've had to put a lot of thought into how, exactly, I'm going to protect this humanity... or at least avenge the ones who've been wronged. It's taking its toll, folks. I don't attend West Point, MIT, Harvard or any other school with a rep for heavy post-grad recruitment by government agencies, nor do I have any useful combat classes at my disposal (KRAV MAGA), nor am I completely multilingual like (what seems to be) the majority of my potential competitors. BUT I'M NO QUITTER. (at least not in this aspect). Also, I've been increasingly distraught over trying to find an interval in my future that will allow time to (1.) stay in one place for more than a year (2.) get married (?) (3.) have a family (?) (4.) have/make/keep friends or (5.) even have a dog. Not to mention that if I work in Mexico (or any other Spanish speaking country with drug cartel problems), everyone that is even remotely considered a liability will probably at some point either be taken hostage/tortured to intimidate me into cooperating OR receive a nice little package in the mail containing an  amputated part of my body or a Molotov cocktail through their window.
Now, I don't want to have to go all Creasy-bear on them, but it is my mother's maiden name and I will use it if they provoke me.
So with that said, maybe it's better that I don't have a family or friends (or even a dog) anyway.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE...
I finished my bird-cage-lantern DIY project! Weeeeee!
It took a lot of improvisation and "dadgumit, I'm gonna finish this if it kills me" will-power, but I did it. Here's some pictures:

AND ON AN EVEN BETTER NOTE:
